11/10/2023 0 Comments Dxo photolab promo![]() Adobe feels a bit more intuitive but not so much that I can't get anything done in Photolab. These are both true although I've learned to live with the interface (or at least how it works). I find Adobe's interface to be far better, the image doesn't become blurry while you move the sliders Photolab 7 (PL6 came out a couple of months ago) then you do have to choose to pay for that update, or stick with the version you have. However if they release a meaningful update e.g. No monthly subscription, like you find with Adobe products. Once you've bought a full version, it's yours 'for life'. If money is a factor then consider waiting for sales. I picked up Photolab last year with a back-to-school discount (you don't need to be a student, it's just a promotion they ran). I'm a few days late /u/jcoffin1981 but I'd absolutely echo the above advice. I doubt they'll provide this, but no harm in asking. That would be a question for DxO's customer service. If you use an Apple Mac, there are some interesting apps on the App Store that work with the default Photos appĪlso, is it possible to obtain an older edition - like Photolab 4 or Photolab 5 for a discount? On1's customer service was very helpful and accommodating, so I would definitely recommending trying that out, too (Adobe's products are better, but slightly more expensive, and with On1's software paying for an upgrade is your choice-it's a perpetual license). I did that about a year ago and settled on On1 Photo Raw, but recently had some problems with it and subscribed to Adobe's photography plan once again. ![]() Then you can try out some other apps on their trial periods, just like you did with DxO PhotoLab. That's whichever software your camera manufacturer offers to read raw files, as well as some open-source options like darktable (more here: ). Start by exploring the options available to you for free.
